User instructions

When all nests have been generated and post-processed, complete the following documentation records as follows:-

1/ On the first page of the Opsheet \ IGES file transfer record, insert the final identities of the following:-

• the Nest table,(.nst),
• the Nest result file(s),(.000, .001 etc)
• the Nest lengths
• the Object part program(s), (.obj) generated for a particular part number.

• the Nest table(s) printouts, and
• the Grafic report(s) (Nest results)

This pack of information will provide a hard copy of all the data relevant to a particular machining program.

A copy of all these sheets should be taken for the machine operators, to serve as the instruction document for the particular set of cutting programs.

2/ Now, under K: GFM \ progdata \ prog_nos.xls, enter the new part number and the corresponding new program number(s) into the program register. In the case of new issue programs for existing part numbers, ensure the original prog ID is deleted.

3/ Finally when the part programs appear satisfactory and all documentation is completed then they may be copied from the K: nesting\ partpgm directory to the K: partlive directory where they can be read by the cutting machine.

Again, in the case of new issue programs for existing part numbers, ensure the original programs are deleted from both the above directories, and that the tally of programs in 2/, above, corresponds with that in 3/ above.
